Investors took profits in Asian oil trading on Monday after prices shot up to their highest level in a year last week with New York crude slipping below 80 dollars. New York's main contract, light sweet crude for December delivery, dropped 68 cents to 79.72 dollars a barrel. Brent North Sea crude for December delivery eased 66 cents to 78.26 dollars a barrel. New York crude hit 82 dollars Wednesday, its highest level since October 14 last year as the dollar slumped.
