Summary President Zardari has said the government is committed to strengthen the economy in Balochistan.
Talking to a delegation of Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad on Friday‚ he said the Government is also striving to address issues of law and order and challenges facing the country.Presidential Spokesman Farhatullah Babar said the President assured boosting trade activities and facilitating the business community is among the priorities of the Government.The President said we are planning to offer targeted incentives to the businessmen to strengthen the economy.The President said Government has fulfilled a long standing demand of the business community by decreasing mark up rate further.He the Government is actively engaged with the international community and partners for increased market access to enhance countrys exports.He emphasized proactive role of the private sector in assisting the Government to chalk out congenial economic policies.The President expressed the hope that QCCI would continue its efforts for promoting trade activities and assisting the Government in facilitating business community and economic growth of the country. He advised the Commerce Ministry to address trade related issues of Balochistan urgently.The delegation thanked the President for his personal interest in the welfare of the business community of the country. They apprised the President of the issues involved in trade with Iran and Afghanistan and requested for their redressal.
