Summary Two-day Pak-US Business Opportunity Conference started in London on Thursday.

US Counselor for Economic Affairs Y. Robert Ewing said that the objective of the conference is to extend bilateral economic and business ties and to provide market access.Around 100 leading businessmen from private sector of both sides will interact and find ways to broaden the trade and investment ties in the areas of energy, Oil and Gas exploration, textile, Information Technology, Investment Finance, capital funds, construction, transportation, steel, food and consumer goods. The potential bilateral trade deals and agreements were also expected between the trade delicates of both sides.The business delegations would interact exclusively in the area of textile trade and investment as both countries have a huge potential to enhance cooperation in the sector.The Chairman Board of investment (BOI) Saleem H. Mandviwalla will lead the Pakistani side while the Trade representative from US side will lead the American delegation.Both sides would discuss the possibilities and potential for the private-public partnership for the enhance cooperation between the both countries.The US Special representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan Daniel Feldman will assist the US side while Secretary Commerce Muneer Qureshi andPakistan High Commissioner in UK Wajid Shamul Hassan will assist BOI Chairman.
