Summary Shahid Rasheed has been elected chairman of Carpet Manufacturing & Exporters Association unopposed.
This was announced during the annual meeting of the general body of the association.Meanwhile, Saeed Khan and Sheraz Mukhtar were elected presidents of the north and south regions respectively.Talking to Dunya News, outgoing chairman Shiekh Khalid Saeed said during his tenure he tried to check the downward trend in the exports of carpets.In this connection, he said, new markets were tapped besides US and Europe.
