Summary Pakistan Post on Monday introduced electronic money order service in eleven cities of the country.
According to an issued statement the new money order service would be between eleven cities Karachi, Quetta, Hyderabad, Multan, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Muzaffarabad and Peshawar via its General Post Offices.Addressing a launching ceremony in Islamabad GPO, he said that in phases this service would be extended to all 83 GPO’s across the country. The customers can now send money up to one hundred thousand rupees for instant transmission through EMO service at very nominal charges ranging from 50 to Rs. 600/-.The sender and receiver of money order will get a confirmation SMS on booking and payment on their mobile numbers.The Federal Minister for Postal Services, Sardar Al-Haaj Muhammad Umar Gorgaij appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Post in introducing this state of the art service at economical rates for the citizens and Postal customers using the latest Information Technology System.He emphasized the desire of his government to provide affordable and modern services to the Postal Customers.
