Oil mixed in Asian trade, NY crude below 61 dollars
Oil was mixed in Asian trade amid persistent worries over the weak global economy, analysts said. New York's main contract, light sweet crude for August delivery was eight cents lower at 60.33 dollars a barrel. Brent North Sea crude for August delivery added four cents to 61.14 dollars. New York crude tumbled below the 60-dollar mark in intra-day trade Thursday, the first time since May 26. The contract has lost more than 13 dollars from its highs last month.
