No harm in calling Army for Karachi peace: Nawaz

Nawaz Sharif has said that the Army could be called if civil administration has failed in Karachi.

The PML-N chief said that there was no harm in calling the Army to restore Karachi peace if the government has failed to improve the situation.Addressing the media after condoling with the family of famous poet Khawaja Pervaiz on his demise, Nawaz said the opposition parties have come to conclude that nothing good could happen in the country in the current government’s tenure.He said it was the government’s responsibility to expose the faces behind the Karachi carnage. He said Interior Minister Rehman Malik claimed knowing “the place where the conspiracies to create Karachi unrest are hatched”. Nawaz said if the interior minister knew it, what was stopping him from sharing the details with the public and taking action against such elements.The PML-N chief said the government’s advisers and ministers hold meetings in Islamabad, but do not take practical steps on the ground.
