Singh wishes Pakistan may change stance on Kashmir

The Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that a democratic Pakistan is in Indias interest.

Talking to the editors of newspapers in New Delhi, Manmohan Singh said that Pakistan was tied up with internal affairs hence it is expected that they might withdraw from Kashmir.Singh said that talks with Pakistan would continue because without dialogue the problems cannot be solved. Singh said that Pakistan was not taking interest in Afghan Transit Trade which is why the issue is still under discussion. Singh expressed his lack of confidence on measures against terrorism in Pakistan. He also said that the Indian government does not trust the relations between the Pakistani government and the armed forces.Singh said that he would not be visiting Pakistan unless there is any solid development.
