ISI-CIA cooperation conditioned with equality: COAS

The COAS says that the ISI will cooperate with the CIA only on equal basis.

Chief of the Army Staff General (COAS) Ashfaq Parvez Kayani held a meeting with US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Admiral Mike Mullen.Genral Kayani told Admiral Mullen that either the ISI will cooperate with the CIA on equal grounds or will not cooperate at all.Both commanders discussed the situation emerged after the US unilateral strike in Abbottabad. General Kayani told his US counterpart about Pakistan’s reservations on the raid, besides informing him about parliament’s joint resolution against the US drone strikes in the tribal areas. They also discussed the future of Pak-US ties in war against terrorism.The COAS asserted that the US would not infringe upon the boundaries of Pakistan for hitting a high value target. The US will only share information and Pakistan will take action, General Kayani said.
