Four killed, five injured in Peshawar blast

This is the second blast in a week in the same area of Peshawar.

Four people were killed and five were injured when a bomb exploded near Matni Bazaar of Peshawar on Thursday.According to eye-witnesses, the bomb was planted by the roadside, killing four people and injuring five others.Police said that the bomb was planted in a heap of trash and exploded when a vehicle, bound for Kakakhel, was passing by it. The citizens and volunteers transferred the injured to a hospital.The personnel of the law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area after the fear of another bomb blast.Senior Superintendent of Police Ijaz Ahmed said that at least four kilogramme of explosive material was used in the blast. He said that a peace lashkar was being made in Kakakhel due to which the vehicle was targeted.Earlier on June 5, six people were killed and 10 were injured when a bomb fixed to a pickup went off near a bus stand at the bazaar of the city. The investigations revealed it was a remote control blast.
