PML-Q accepts Zardari's invitation to join government

PML-Q will get five federal and seven state ministeries.

According to sources, the Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) has decided to join the government after President Zardari and the Chaudhry brothers agreed on a majority of matters. President Zardari agreed to withdraw cases against the party leaders and would remove the PML-Q’s concerns.According to sources, the post of Pakistans permanent representative to the United Nations would be given to the PML-Q . Sources also suggested that Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani would administer oath to the PML-Q ministers before his visit to France while the PPP and PML-Q would form a coalition government in Punjab by the end of August this year.Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari had officially invited the PML-Q to join the government. President Zardari invited Chaudhry brothers for dinner where they agreed on various matters concerning the emerging political situation.The PPP government, on the other hand, will readjust the ministerial departments to accommodate the new coalition partners. Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar is likely to be given Ministry of water and Power.
