Lahore Session Court judge Abdul Ghaffar grants bail to former federal minister
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Lahore Sessions Court on Thursday granted interim bail to former information minister Fawad Chaudhry in a case filed against him over road blockade and violence incitement.
The Race Course Police Station had initiated a case against Fawad Chaudhry for holding a press conference by blocking a road and inciting violence through his inflammatory speech.
In the two-page written bail order, judge Abdul Ghaffar observed that traffic jams have become a regular feature in Lahore, adding that traffic jams could occur for any reason.
The order added that Fawad Chaudhry was not accused of causing a traffic jam.
The court noted in the order that it has already confirmed the interim bail of Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the co-accused in the instant case.
