DERA ISMAIL KHAN (Dunya News) – Two Customs officials embraced martyrdom and three others suffered injuries in a gun attack by unidentified assailants on Bunnu Road near a toll plaza here on Saturday night, Dunya News reported.

Police said two Customs officials were killed and three injured when terrorists opened fire on them at a toll plaza. The dead bodies and the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital.

Police and personnel of other law-enforcement agencies scrambled to the crime scene and cordoned off the area.

Police said the terrorists escaped before the arrival of law enforcers. A manhunt was launched for the arrest of the suspects.

A few days ago, four Customs officials were killed in a firing incident in Dera Ismail Khan.

The incident has sent a wave of shock among the officials as this is the second such incident in the last few days.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has condemned the incident. He ordered action against the perpetrators at the earliest.
